Rugged Leather Case - iPhone 17 Pro | Rustic Brown | Horween

About 3 weeks in and the leather here’s already got a super strange patina and very slimy feel. I’ve gotten the rugged cases from Nomad on my last 4 phones. I love them but the leather was a big ol’ miss this time around.

Love the case, 1 the 4 footings on the case will make the phone so much easier to pick up from the table or desk; 2 I am a pinky holding person and this is the only case that doesn’t chew into my pinky finger after a long use; 3 the bottom side of the case lip is very low so it doesn’t block finger swapping up ; 4 the buttons are so clicky very responsive!; 5 it doesn’t make the loung metal to glass or metal to metal sound when putting it down on the table because it not metal case, love the quality of life from the quiet.

Now ! Lets talk about place to improve, please make the leather part thicker, it feels like a glued on leather like skin, not like Horween Leather at all which makes it lack the luxurious feeling. Over all, great case very happy about it. The leather part is not a deal breaker but left something to be desired.

Had Nomad cases for a while and have used the Modern cases for many years. Case has held up pretty well for a couple of weeks and has only shown little wear on the leather which is expected. The case is a bit heavy which is good for a rugged case but I feel the sides of the front and the back could be slimmed down a bit for weight and hand feel. Buttons are great and camera control button has great feel as well.

A couple of flaws that i had found are that the magsafe magnets are very mediocre. All of my previous nomads didn't have great magnets to begin with and I feel they just added the modern case ones and didn't account for the weight. They're fine for a desk mount but if you have a heavier battery pack or a magsafe car mount they wont be the strongest. Also, be careful with the camera bezel as it will be ok clearance for the bare camera but very little for camera protectors
