I typically use a leather billfold case on my phones because I believe the screen protection is superior. Especially if it’s placed screen down or something random falls on the phone. That and I usually don’t take many pictures with a phone. Well, now I do.
I must use a tripod occasionally, so the billfold case would not work. I shopped around the usually top, known brand sites, even tried a few that they drop from dams and such. Didn’t like them. Either too slim, too slippery or just too costly. Then I found this Nomad Rugged Leather Case.
The leather aside (which is fabulous although a tad thin), this is exactly what I was I looking for in a case. I have large hands and the slim cases were too small. This case? It was as if the designers came to me and said, “We want to make a case that’ll fit your goony Sasquatch hands.” They didn’t but it sure seems like it.
The Rugged Leather Case fits my hand perfectly, protects a phone as a case should, aggressively and robustly, and fits on a tripod. The phone is easy to pick up without hitting a button. The buttons are intuitive, have a quality feel, and can be found without having to look at the phone due to the surface texture. Plus, the case is easy to take on and off. I couldn’t ask for more.
I take that back and I’ll get greedy. “Hey, Nomad. Do you make a leather billfold case nearly as good as the Rugged?”
