Let me start by saying the leather is beautiful — the craftsmanship and feel are excellent. However, since I’ve only had the case for about a week, it’s a bit early to make a full assessment. The sides are made of a rubber-like material that appears durable and capable of protecting the phone from drops. The buttons are well-designed and feel solid.
Where I do have a concern is with the fit. The case feels somewhat loose, and with minimal pressure from the back near the camera opening, I can push the phone out of the case. My previous Apple leather case had a much snugger fit and was actually a bit difficult to remove, which I preferred. Time will tell whether this looseness becomes an issue, but for now, that’s the reason for my 4-star rating instead of 5.

It is a well made, and nicely designed case offering good protection for both the screen and the camera bank. The buttons work quite well (almost too well--I am finding the new iPhone 17 Action Button to be a bit annoying).
The one big problem I find is that the leather finish appears to be quite thin and very easily scratched. A light swipe with a fingernail will do it. Unlike the look of some leather wear, the results are seriously ugly. The photo shows my case with just over a week of use. I am not a particularly heavy user of my phone and there is nothing else in the pocket where I carry it. Considering I chose this case over some other options for its looks, I don't think I'll be hanging onto it very long.
