Modern Leather Case - iPhone 13 Pro Max | Rustic Brown | Horween

I think this case is fantastic. I would definitely opt for the Horween option if you want that fresh leather smell and feel. I was initially iffy about the color contrast of the black TPU front and the leather back, but I actually think it’s better for a couple of reasons.

First, I think having a black front is better for watching movies or using your phone at night, as having a different color can be distracting. Second, the plastic is not tacky or sticky like other plastic cases that use black TPU. It is smooth, the sides are beveled, and it feels slim and premium in the hand. The magnets for MagSafe are about a 7/10 in terms of strength, and I’ve only had them loosen my Popsocket once—though that was due to me being hard on it. Not as strong as Apple’s first-party clear case, but perfectly fine in my eyes.

The only reason I gave it 4/5 stars is because if you use a MagSafe product, you can start to make out the circular MagSafe ring in the phone case through the leather. It’s not front and center, but I thought the leather might be just a tad thicker. If you’re okay with your case developing a bit of patina and scratches, it breaks in nicely and looks great. The buttons are very tactile and click well, and the charging port and microphone/speaker cutouts are well-aligned.

Overall, it’s a really great case that I would recommend to everyone! It would be interesting to see Nomad try their hand at a full leather variant without the separation, but I’m happy with my…
